Nic & Norman's Lexington

My wife and I visited Nic and Norman’s Lexington a lot because she is such a Walking Dead fan. Certain experiences without bias need to be shared and too often you hear negative the loudest. Let me say the only negative has nothing to do with the restaurant itself. That is parking. There are places to park but it can be expensive and tricky. The cool experience and idea behind the restaurant is still worth the trip for which was a little over 4 hours round trip for us. The food was unique, interestingly created menu and flavors, as well as a comfortable atmosphere. The price was fair and reasonable when compared to similar dining. There are cool pictures and souvenirs if you are a fan. I would like to specifically emphasize our server though. Marissa was undoubtedly the best part of our visit. For someone to so perfectly display excellence is what she does is quite impressive. The misconception of how hard can it be should be reviewed for a server. It is extremely difficult to navigate such diverse individuals and make them happy. Although Marissa made it look easy, she truly deserves the credit for being well above the standard of what good customer service looks like. Thank you Marissa and team for the positive impression accompanying our whim of a day trip.

Got a table right away. Food and service was good. I got the salmon (great flavor), just didn't care for the slaw, and my husband got the brisket Mac and cheese. I got an alcohol free drink, the blackberry fizz and it was great.

We had dinner on Sunday, May 11, 2025. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, with warm lighting, tasteful decor, and soft background music that creates an inviting atmosphere. It’s the ideal setting for both a casual dinner and a special occasion. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The excellent food shone through in every bite — the Whiskey citrus salmon was perfectly cooked, and beef medallions were tender and flavorful as were the mashed potatoes and sweet potatoe fries with caramel sauce. Desserts were delightful! Service at Nic & Norman's was exemplary. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. Our server, BV, made excellent recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. As we watched other servers, we could tell they were all on their game. We met two managers, Chandler and Deanna, who obviously care about their restaurant and service. Overall, this restaurant delivers on all fronts — superb cuisine, a warm and stylish atmosphere, and attentive service. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal in a welcoming setting. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

A large group of us came in for dinner on a weeknight an they were all too happy to accommodate us! The manager and his staff were great! Very helpful and accommodating! All the food and drinks were excellent! They offer some nice cocktails which are prepared beautifully and they also have a large list of bourbon, including many new things, not readily available in other places. Some items we tried that were good were their Philly cheesesteak fries – Very cheesy and flavorful! Their starter salad was fresh and their ranch was great! The meatloaf is very nicely made and thick! A huge dinner that comes with some great sauces on the meatloaf and a tasty mashed potatoes and corn bread too! Get a side of their Cajun corn – it was unbelievably tasty! Definitely enjoyed our dinner, drinks, and experience here and would recommend coming here!

We had an amazing time! The food was amazing and our server Kaden was absolutely the sweetest and was a delight to have. Will for sure be coming back soon

Ate lunch with several friends on a weekday. I'd never been before so it was a nice treat to walk in and drink in the atmosphere for the first time. Service was great however a little slow for the amount of people. Our Server was friendly and knowledgeable and made good suggestions. I decided on a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. Everyone was happy with their choice which ranged from my cheeseburger to Nic's version of a pot pie which was a traditional filling over southern biscuits on a plate versus the pie crust. My friend said it was tasty and good. My favorite was the sweet potato fries they were so delicious. Can't wait to go again.

I absolutely loved everything about my experience here! The food and drinks were top-tier, and the vibes were just right. I came to celebrate my 34th birthday with two of my best friends, and we had an amazing time! Our server was not only super attentive but also cute, which was a bonus! The manager made us feel extra special, too. This spot definitely earned a place on my favorites list!

I was in Lexington for a conference and some friends asked me to find a nearby place to eat. After reading reviews on Google Maps, I suggested Nic & Norman's. It was a great choice. The atmosphere was very pleasant (not too loud) and our server was terrific. I had the lamb burger with feta and the Cajun cream corn side, and both were excellent. We had a nice chat with the person running the kitchen, who was stopping by various tables to see how everyone liked their food. Great service, delicious food, and a solid beer selection (I highly recommend the Bourbon Barrel Ale). Definitely worth a visit.
